Webmail Activation

Your email address will be in this format: firstname.lastname@sd78.bc.ca
and is also your account login name.

  1. Password Protocol
    Minimum 7 characters: (and may not contain the user’s account name or parts of the user’s full name that exceed two consecutive characters)Must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
    – Uppercase characters (A through Z)
    – Base 10 digits (0 through 9)
    – Lowercase characters ( a through z )
    – Non-alphabetic characters (example, !, $, #, %)
  2. Activating your Webmail account for the first time
    – Go to https://mail.sd78.bc.ca
    – Enter your email address and the temporary password sent to you
    – Enter your email address and the temporary password again
    – Enter and confirm a new password
    – Select your Time Zone, if asked ( -8 for BC )
    – Logout
    – Login with your NEW credentials
